Pigeon Corporation has been selected as a constituent of the "MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index

Pigeon Corporation (Headquarters: Tokyo, President and CEO: Norimasa Kitazawa) has been selected as a constituent of the MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index, which is used by the General Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) for ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) investment. With this selection, the Company has been selected as a constituent*1 of all ESG indices adopted by the GPIF.
As of June 2024, 242 companies have been selected for inclusion in the MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index, which uses the MSCI Japan IMI Index as its index and selects companies in each industry that excel in ESG assessment based on MSCI ESG research.
In addition, we have earned an "AA" rating in the MSCI ESG ratings as of January 2024 for the first time.
The MSCI ESG Ratings are a global evaluation index for ESG investments, based on a survey and analysis of companies' ESG initiatives, which are rated on a seven-point scale from AAA (the highest rank) to CCC (the lowest rank). It is regarded as a global evaluation index for ESG investment.
Pigeon will continue to strive for sustainable growth and further enhance its corporate value by addressing key issues (materiality) over the medium to long term under the Pigeon DNA and Pigeon Way in order to make this world a more baby-friendly place.
