Head Office Switches to 100% Renewable Energy (Japan - Pigeon)

On August 1, 2021, Pigeon Corporation began using ENEOS Power Corporation’s “Renewable Electricity (100% Renewable Energy from the Muroran Biomass Power Plant)” to power its head office in Chuo, Tokyo. This makes Pigeon’s head office the first Pigeon Group location to use 100% renewable energy, and will reduce annual CO2 emissions by around 252 tons.* The initiative forms part of Pigeon Corporation’s response to climate change, one of the individual issues identified for its “Sustainable reduction of environmental impact” materiality (key issue).

About ENEOS Power Corporation’s Renewable Electricity Menu
- This electricity is supplied by ENEOS Power Corporation, which procures the necessary J-Credits and Non-Fossil Fuel Certificates to ensure that the CO2 emissions associated with its use are 0 tons per kWh.
- It is generated at the Muroran Biomass Power Plant (Non-FIT Electricity + Non-FIT Non-Fossil Fuel Certificate with Tracking).
