Since 2016, Pigeon Malaysia (Trading) Sdn.Bhd.（PMY）has been working with Cleft Lip & Palate Association Malaysia (CLAPAM) * to raise awareness on nursing bottles & nipples for babies with cleft lip and/ or palate.

    *Cleft Lip & Palate Association Malaysia (CLAPAM) is a non-profit, non-government organization managed by a group of elected volunteers. Members comprise of parents with children born with a cleft condition, adults born with cleft and healthcare professionals who manage such individuals.

In Malaysia, the rate of occurrence of cleft is generically about 1 in 600-700 live births. The objective of CLAPAM is to help individuals who are born with cleft to have the correct knowledge and support so that they can obtain an optimal plan to manage and treat the condition. CLAPAM introduce and offer Pigeon’s nursing bottles & nipples for babies with cleft lip and palate to their patients.

Besides, PMY also joined the event e.g. National Pediatric Plastic Surgery Symposium in order to increase the awareness of nursing bottles & nipple for cleft lip and/or palate among healthcare professionals. Currently, 80 NICUs in Malaysia recommend and offer Pigeon’s nursing bottles & nipples for cleft lip and/or palate to their patients.
