Initiatives to Promote the Advancement of Women (Japan - Pigeon)

Pigeon Corporation views creating an environment in which female employees can contribute even more as an important challenge, and engages in initiatives to promote the advancement of women. In September 2021, the company was recognized at the Forbes Japan Women Award 2021, one of Japan’s largest awards events focused on women.

Initiatives to Promote the Advancement of Women (Turkey)

Lansinoh values the diversity and uniqueness of each employee. In November 2021, our Turkish Lansinoh Factory were awarded Turkey’s “Best Workplaces for Women 2021” in the category of 100-249 employees. This is a great achievement as supporting women employment is among the priorities at the Izmir factory.

Helping to Create a Neighborhood Filled with Flowers and Greenery (Japan - Pigeon)

In September 2021, Pigeon Corporation joined the Green Adoption Program offered by Chuo City, Tokyo. Under this program, local residents and businesses volunteer to clean and beautify parks and roads. Pigeon took on responsibility for replanting, caring for, and weeding the “Blooming Street Corner” flower planters installed by Chuo City at four locations near Head Office. In November, we made replanting these “Blooming Street Corner” planters our second corporate-led volunteer activity.

Joining the Japan Clean Ocean Material Alliance (CLOMA) (Japan - Pigeon)

In September 2021, Pigeon Corporation became a member of the Japan Clean Ocean Material Alliance (CLOMA). This reflects our support for its activities as a platform for strengthening collaboration between cross-sectoral stakeholders and accelerating innovation toward resolving the problem of marine plastic waste. To “leave a rich earth for the future of babies born tomorrow,” we will continue our efforts to reduce our use of plastics.

Meeting Babies at a Home for Infants (Japan - Pigeon Home Products)

Employees from Pigeon Home Products Corporation have been visiting the Midorien Home for Infants (“Midorien”) in Fuji, Shizuoka, since 2018, to understand babies more closely and experience caring for them.

Supporting Babies with Cleft Lip and/or Palate (China)

In May 2021, Pigeon (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (PSH) cooperated with NPO Operation Smile in support of an initiative to provide surgery for babies with cleft lip and/or palate in Yunnan Province, China.

Protecting the Environment by Planting Mangroves (Indonesia)

PT Pigeon Indonesia (PI) is committed to ‘leave a rich earth for the future of babies born tomorrow,’ and in partnership with Lindungi Hutan Foundation, we are planning to plant and monitor a total of 5,000 mangrove trees by the end of 2021 as part of an environmental conservation project.

Initiatives to Reduce Food Waste (Japan - Pigeon)

In January 2021, in cooperation with the Public-Private Partnership Research Center, Pigeon Corporation launched a new initiative to help make cities more baby-friendly by partnering with local municipalities to support parents. As the first stage in these partnership initiatives, Pigeon provided recipient cities with direct donations of baby food and other items needed to raise children.
