Formulating and Publicizing Our Sustainable Development Policy

Pigeon exists to make the world more baby-friendly by furthering our commitment to understanding and addressing babies’ unique needs. In all countries and regions where we undertake business activities, we strive for sustainable corporate growth by reducing our environmental impact and resolving the social issues faced by babies and families.

In order to reduce our environmental impact—a challenge we have identified as one of our key issues (materiality)—in February 2021 we formulated a Sustainable Development Policy. This policy calls for monozukuri that is sensitive to both the future childcare environment and the global environment.

Preserving a rich natural environment for the future of babies born tomorrow is our mission.

We engage in monozukuri with full consideration for the future environment of childcare so that babies can enjoy health and happiness decades from now.

To achieve this, it is vital for each and every employee to think about their environmental impact and take action accordingly.

Our Sustainable Development Policy begins from “Act with an eye to the future” and calls for employees to “Make products that play their part,” “Avoid overengineering and overdesign,” “Seek empathy, share progress,” and “Watch over products for their whole lifetime” as they engage in monozukuri.
