This kind of disaster preparedness helps make the world more baby-friendly by ensuring that children are kept safe if disaster strikes.

The sonaetta series: Disaster preparedness products for babies

sonaetta is a series of disaster preparedness products for babies. Products in the sonaetta series are designed not only to be invaluable when disaster strikes but also to be useful in everyday life at different stages of child development. Three products are currently available: sonaetta Emergency Feeding Cups, the sonaetta Head Protection Blanket, and the sonaetta Antibacterial/Antiviral Compact Bed.

sonaetta Emergency Feeding Cups

Product features:

• Can be used at times of disaster when water is in short supply: Designed for one-time use, ensuring hygiene with no need to clean or sterilize. Includes muddlers with volume markings for measuring and stirring powdered formula.
• Milk collects inside the lid and comes out in a controlled flow, allowing carers to maintain a comfortable drinking pace while seeing how much milk baby is drinking.
• Makes it easier to resume normal feeding methods once circumstances return to normal: The cup’s lid has a small opening rather than a spout-type design held in the baby’s mouth, reducing the chances of confusion or other issues when returning to direct breastfeeding or the usual nursing bottle.

sonaetta Head Protection Blanket

Product features:

• Hood, blanket, and cape can be used 3 ways even in everyday life: The blanket can be wrapped gently around baby, used as a nursing cape while out and about, or folded and put inside the hood to create a highly cushioned hat that can offer head protection for babies taking their first step. The 100% cotton material also feels good against the skin.
• Designed for use in sudden emergencies: The blanket can be carried around and used as above in regular circumstances, but then immediately repurposed for baby head protection should disaster strike. This also frees up parents’ hands while they take action to protect the family from danger.

sonaetta Antibacterial/Antiviral Compact Bed

Product features:

• Secure a space for baby anywhere, anytime: Helps ensure security and comfort even in emergency shelters or other places with large numbers of unknown people, and the compact size makes it easy to use for everyday naps, too.
• Tent-shaped bed with antibacterial and antiviral functionality: The CLEANSE® antibacterial/antiviral textile processing applied to the materials used firmly fixes the antibacterial element Etak® to their surface.
• Pop-up design makes the bed easy to set up anywhere.
